Thurgood
Marshall
College Fund Scholarships were established
to help students wishing to attend one of the 38 historically
black public colleges and universities. The program is named for
Justice Thurgood Marshall, the first African American on the
Supreme Court.

Inroads Inc. provides internships
for students of color in the business world. It is highly
regarded in corporate America and sponsored by major companies.
According to the program’s website, "Our Interns are
graduating high school seniors, college or university freshmen
or sophomores with a B grade point average or better, and a
combined SAT score of at least 1000, or an ACT score of 20 or
better. They have demonstrated a proven leadership ability, and
are interested in pursuing a Bachelor's degree in business,
accounting, actuarial science, engineering, computer and
information sciences, sales, marketing, allied health,
healthcare management, and retail store management."

Leadership Education and Development
Program in Business (LEAD)- was started by
African-American McNeill Pharmaceutical’s executives at the
Wharton School. Today, its summer institutes give high students
of color a head start in preparing for business careers.

The Consortium for Graduate Study in
Management is a program designed to increase diversity and
inclusion in American corporations by offering fellowships to
deserving graduate students of color. Participating business
schools include the following: University of California at Los

University; Indiana University-Bloomington; University of

Harvard University’s
Business School has
hosted the "Harvard’s Summer Venture in Management
Program" every summer for more than twenty years. This summer
institute encourages black and other college students of color to
get MBAs.
The Ten School Diversity Alliance-helps
to increase the diversity of students at its ten, elite business
schools including Columbia Business School; Harvard Business
School; MIT Sloan School of Management; Northwestern Kellogg
School of Management; Stanford Graduate School of Business; Tuck
School of Business at Dartmouth; UCLA Anderson School of
Management; The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business;
UVA Darden Graduate School of Business Administration; Wharton,
University of Pennsylvania.

fellowships/ scholarships to students of color to pursue careers

MBA Diversity’s Fellows Program-
provides participants with a variety of services including GMAT
preparation (discounts/scholarship opportunities), global service
through its Global Immersion Module and MBA Diversity
Professional Development Program.

Graduate Admission Management Council initiative that endeavors to
