In this
section, you will start determining which
resume is best for you. There are the three different types: the
Chronological, Functional and Combination resume. Below, you
discover how each one functions:
CHRONOLOGICAL
RESUME:
This
resume is the most familiar. It includes your objective or
summary, work history, education and skills. Your work history and
education are in reverse chronological order or last
position/educational institution first. For "Before" and
"After" Chronological Sample Resumes, click

FUNCTIONAL
RESUME: Traditionally, this
resume was designed for people with spotty work histories or long
leaves from the workforce. Today, the functional
resume can be also used as a way to
highlight skills needed
for a particular field. See an example of a Sample
Functional resume, click

COMBINATION
RESUME: This
resume is a combination of the chronological and functional
resumes. It is used to highlight your specific skills, but also
includes your chronological work history. To successfully
write this type of resume, think of what skills are needed for
your new position. Then, you want to add your work history dates
and places of employment only. For Sample Combination
resume, click
